Volume II, Winter Issue

This issue of APVM, Volume II Winter, starts out with an interview of still life painter Sarah Lamb. We get to see coverage from her recent exhibition at the renowned Spanierman Gallery on 57th street in Manhattan. We also go and visit Sarah in her working studio and home in Pennsylvania. Next, we come back to the city for an interview with a long-time great, Burton Silverman. Burton shares his generous insight behind what went into his show at the Hofstra University retrospective exhibition. Silverman has been painting for many years and has seen how the art world has evolved. He shares his thoughts on contemporary painting in this 15-minute segment. For our third interview we travel abroad (Sadie Valerie and her husband were kind enough to shoot some footage on their recent sojourn to France.) Sadie sits down with Richard Thomas Scott for an excellent conversation. He is a young intellectual full of passion for art and philosophy and he shares his thoughts on where he thinks painting could head in the 21st century. In this issue Richard Piloco shares with us a painting demonstration, showing us how he practices by doing a monochrome study of frabric thrown over a chair. We also visit with the successful watercolor artist, Mario A. Robinson, in his studio in New Jersey. Mario shares with us stories about his childhood and the inspiration behind his paintings. Once again this is an excellent issue and we're always excited to see how every issue comes together. We hope you enjoy the end of our second volume and we look forward to a new season next year.
